For their final project, the Life Skills class has been working on embroidering. Some decided to make this design into a pillow, flag, or wall decorations.

A huge thank you to Mrs. Curlo and Cami Fulton for putting together the recognition bulletin board located by the high school locker rooms. Students who met the growth goal for each testing area are recognized in our "Grow 4 Gold" section, while students who set an all time high in any area by 5 or more points makeup our "High Five" group. Congratulations to all students for these outstanding achievements!!

Due to the approaching weather front that will be bringing unusually high wind gusts, Loup City Public Schools will be dismissing today at 1:30pm. Buses will run accordingly. This will allow us to get kids home and our buses back to safety. There will be no sports practices or ASP tonight. Be safe!

Congratulations to our student athletes on their NSAA Fall Academic All-State recognition.

Do you ever wonder what happened to that coat or nice sweatshirt your child lost? There's a pretty good chance it's in the Loup City Schools "Lost and Found" We're getting quite a collection of "stuff" and if your child needs a nice Christmas gift, nothing beats wrapping up a long-lost shirt or jacket they've left behind at school. These items are all in the front lobby of Loup City Elementary School.

Anne Frank Exhibit at Loup City Public Schools
Loup City Public Schools is currently hosting a traveling exhibit called Anne Frank: A History for Today through this Friday, November 12th. Five of our own Loup City students are acting as docents to explain the content to all exhibit attendees, along with providing other information and educational opportunities in combination with the exhibit. On Friday, the 12th, the students will be hosting a Community Night open to the public from 5:30-8:00 pm in the North Gym. This is an opportunity for any interested community members to come in for either a guided tour or to peruse the exhibit at their own leisure.
The exhibit tells the inspirational story of Anne Frank through photographs and “peer education,” in which students will be responsible for the guided tours. Juxtaposing photographs of the Frank family with historical images, this exhibit shows how prosecuted people were affected by the actions of individuals and groups.
Loup City Public Schools is one of the three chosen Nebraska schools that will be hosting the exhibit this fall. It has been displayed in over 90 countries, and this tour has been its first time displayed in the state of Nebraska. The student guides will be available during school hours and will be working to plan tours with students from LCPS, as well as inviting any community members to visit the exhibit in its time here. All interested parties are invited to plan a tour throughout the course of this exhibition, 0r to come during the Community Night on the 12th. The content is aimed at high schoolers, upper-class middle schoolers, as well as adults.
We hope that this effort will motivate teachers and students to engage in a conversation that supports the main premise of the exhibit that, even today, the life of Anne Frank still provides us with valuable lessons. Please contact Mrs. Trysta Asche at the school with any questions or to schedule a tour for your group!
