Principal’s Message to Parents & Guardians

LCES Families,
At Loup City Elementary, we believe that every student deserves to feel safe, supported, connected, and ready to learn. As we continue our yearly theme, “Find Your Joy,” we are encouraging our students to discover the people, activities, relationships, and experiences that make school a joyful place to be. At the same time, our district mission, “Empowering Continual Success,” reminds us that success is built through consistent expectations, responsible choices, and a strong partnership between school and home.
As we continue our school year centered around the theme “Find Your Joy,” we are reminded that joy can be found in the moments we share, the memories we create, and the ways we come together as a school community. These experiences also help us live out our district mission, “Empowering Continual Success,” by building strong connections that support our students both in and beyond the classroom.
Our recent Grandparents Day was a tremendous success! It was wonderful to see our school filled with smiles, laughter, stories, and special connections between our students and their grandparents and loved ones. Days like these are a wonderful reminder that some of life's greatest joys come from spending time with the people who encourage, support, and believe in us.
A special thank you to our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) for their tremendous support in helping make this event possible. Their time, effort, and dedication to our school community play an important role in creating meaningful experiences for our students.
When families, staff, and community members work together, we create an environment where students can find their joy, feel a sense of belonging, and continue toward success. Thank you to everyone who helped make Grandparents Day such a memorable celebration.
Today, September 11th, students and staff across Loup City Public Schools participated in a moment of silence this morning in remembrance of the lives lost and the many individuals and families affected by the events of September 11, 2001.
Taking a moment to remember helps our students understand the importance of compassion, courage, kindness, and coming together as a community. While remembrance can be a solemn experience, it also reminds us to appreciate the joy found in our everyday lives and to value the people who surround and support us.
As we reflect on this day, may we continue to empower our students toward continual success by teaching them to lead with kindness, respect others, learn from history, and contribute positively to their communities. In doing so, we help them find their joy while becoming thoughtful, caring, and responsible members of our world.
